About
About BetFantasy.ai
A fantasy football draft assistant. It ranks a board with a fixed set of value-based drafting math and shows you where every number came from. This page covers what it does, what it does not do, and where it is weakest.
What this is
You enter your league settings, and BetFantasy.ai builds a board of roughly 1,699 players priced against replacement level at their position. The point is to answer one question quickly: of the names still available, which one is actually worth more than the next one you could get at the same spot.
The board is the product. It is a table, not a chatbot. It does not draft for you, it does not message your league, and it knows nothing about your league beyond the settings you typed in.
Who operates it
BetFantasy.ai is operated by Obsidian Ridge Holdings, LLC, based in Sheridan, Wyoming, United States. It is a small independent operation. It is not part of any sportsbook, league, or fantasy platform, and no one pays us to rank a player higher. There are no ads, no affiliate links, and no sponsored placements on the board.
How the Edge Model works
The BetFantasy Edge Model is value-based drafting math. For each position it establishes what a replaceable starter is worth under your scoring, then measures every player against that baseline. The board shows that gap as Impact Delta, folds it into a single cross-position ordering called Prime Ranking, and reports Avail% — the odds a player is still on the board when your next pick comes around.
The formula set is fixed. It was extracted from a third-party fantasy football spreadsheet and reimplemented here, and it returns the same output for the same inputs every time. The model does not learn. It does not retrain on results, it does not recalibrate between seasons, and nothing you do inside the app changes how any player is scored. When a number moves, it is because the underlying data moved.
Two badges say how solid a player's projected points are. EDGE means a real imported projection. EST means the points were interpolated from the player's ADP rank because no real projection exists for them. About 570 of the roughly 1,699 players in the pool carry an EDGE projection, so most of the pool is EST. That is the largest single limitation of the board, and it is why deep bench rows should be read as ordering rather than as forecasts.
Where the data comes from
Average draft position is merged from five sources. Four refresh on a schedule and one does not, so we list them separately rather than let “five sources” imply five live feeds.
| Source | What it provides | How often it updates |
|---|---|---|
| ESPN | Average draft position | Every 4 hours, scheduled job |
| Sleeper | Average draft position | Every 4 hours, scheduled job |
| FFC | Average draft position | Every 4 hours, scheduled job |
| MFL | Average draft position | Every 4 hours, scheduled job |
| Yahoo | Average draft position | Never. A committed CSV snapshot taken 2025-08-13 |
| BettingPros | Sportsbook season over/under lines (Book Yds, Book TDs) | Optional. Self-gated to a random 3 to 7 day interval |
Sportsbook lines are shown for reference only. They are season-long over/unders for yardage and touchdowns, not live odds, and nothing on the board is priced off them — they sit beside a player as context you can read or ignore. The feed is optional; when it is unavailable the board keeps the last values it had rather than blanking the column.
The board also displays when the player pool last refreshed, so you can judge how old the numbers in front of you are instead of assuming they are current.
What this deliberately does not do
- BetFantasy.ai is not a sportsbook. We accept no wagers and hold no money. There is nothing here to deposit or withdraw.
- We do not sell picks. There is no paid tier that unlocks better numbers — everyone sees the same board.
- We do not guarantee outcomes. The model prices value against replacement level. Football decides the rest.
- We do not give financial or betting advice. Sportsbook lines are reference context, not a recommendation to stake anything.
- AI Bets and Lineup are pages for work that is not built yet. Nothing is running behind them.
Accounts and your data
An account is optional and the app works fully signed out. Your draft persists under an anonymous session created the first time you interact with the app, which means marketing and legal pages like this one set no session cookie at all. Signing up with an email and password only exists so the same draft can follow you to another device.
Analytics are off until you accept them: no tag loads and no analytics cookie exists before that choice. The detail is in the privacy policy and the cookie notice.
